Mutual Aid Mice Hanky
Mutual Aid Mice Hanky
The Mutual Aid Mice hanky is screen printed by hand from original paper cutting art.
The hanky, printed from a single large, lace-like paper cutting, shows a series of whimsical scenes of community care and action, told through mice! I made this design in the early days of the covid-19 pandemic, feeling the impacts of the beautiful upswell of mutual aid projects that emerged in response. May we recognize and celebrate the ways that communities come together to help each person be okay, in both tough and plentiful times.
In the spirit of mutual aid, 20% of sales from each hanky will be donated to a mutual aid project. Currently, donations will go to Middle East Children’s Alliance.
I originally made this design in collaboration with Make it Sew, who made beautiful hand sewn bandanas that I designed and printed on.
The hankies are approximately 22”x22,” and are printed on 100% cotton bandanas made it the US in 2 color ways: pink hanky/teal ink, and navy hanky/blue ink.
Each hanky is made by hand, and so each one is unique and may have small variances from the prints pictured.
